Foo Fighters will drop their first album because the demise of drummer Taylor Hawkins in June.
The Better of You hitmakers introduced on Wednesday that their eleventh album, However Right here We Are, will likely be launched on 2 June.
In a press launch, the file was described as “brave, broken and unflinchingly genuine” and “the primary chapter of the band’s new life”, following the demise of Hawkins in March 2022 on the age of fifty.
“A brutally sincere and emotionally uncooked response to all the things Foo Fighters endured over the past 12 months, However Right here We Are is a testomony to the therapeutic powers of music, friendship and household,” the discharge reads.
“Sonically channelling the naiveté of Foo Fighters’ 1995 debut, knowledgeable by many years of maturity and depth, However Right here We Are is the sound of brothers discovering refuge within the music that introduced them collectively within the first place 28 years in the past, a course of that was as therapeutic because it was a couple of continuation of life.”
However Right here Are We opens with the lead single Rescued, which was unveiled on Wednesday, and options 9 different songs titled Below You, Listening to Voices, However Right here We Are, The Glass, Nothing at All, Present Me How, Past Me, The Trainer, and Relaxation.

Hawkins joined the Foo Fighters in 1997. The band has but to announce who will exchange the musician for his or her upcoming performances this summer season. It is usually unclear who performed the drums on the upcoming album.
