Janelle Monáe is gearing as much as take her forthcoming album, The Age of Pleasure, on the street. The singer revealed particulars for a 2023 North American tour on Wednesday (Might 31).
The star will kick off the 26-date trek on Aug. 30 at WAMU Theater in Seattle, and can make stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York Metropolis and extra earlier than wrapping up in Inglewood, Calif., on the YouTube Theater on Oct. 18.
Tickets for the Age of Pleasure tour will go on sale in a Verizon presale starting Thursday, June 1, at 10 a.m. native time. Basic onsale for the tour will start beginning Wednesday, June 7, at 10 a.m. native time on Ticketmaster.com.
The Age of Pleasure will arrive on June 9 by way of Atlantic Data. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the singer defined that the report is impressed by the sounds of the Black diaspora of then and now.
“It was impressed by all of my pals, my group of oldsters who’re from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, the Caribbean, Atlanta, L.A., Chicago,” she stated. “Seeing all of us collectively in our Blackness, within the love that we had in our eyes for one another. Individuals from the continent f–ok round with lure from Atlanta. You already know what I’m saying? I like how the diaspora — we speak to one another.”
