Empire State Bastard share brutal new single ‘Stutter’

Empire State Bastard have introduced their latest single ‘Stutter’. Test it out under.

The band is the newest undertaking from Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil and touring guitarist and former Oceansize musician Mike Vennart – who launched again in March with the debut single ‘Harvest’.

Enlisting Slayer and Testomony drummer Dave Lombardo and Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon on bass, the band not too long ago launched into a sold-out headline tour throughout the UK and this week introduced their debut album ‘Rivers Of Heresy’.

Now, the band have shared their second single, ‘Stutter’. Blisteringly heavy from begin to end, the observe sees the four-piece channel inspiration from black metallic bands together with Mayhem and Bathory. Test it out under.

Introduced earlier this week, ‘Rivers Of Heresy’ is about for launch on September 1, and has been described as capturing a sound equal to “pure sonic annihilation”.

Talking to NME final month, the band’s frontman mentioned that he and Vennart have been trying to seize “going for extremity in any respect prices” with the brand new band, and hoping that the sound they seize can be “extraordinarily bizarre”.

“As a result of we play collectively in Biffy, there’s no level in us doing one other undertaking that doesn’t really feel miles aside,” he defined. “That’s a pet hate of mine, when folks depart their full-time band to do one other factor and it’s only a barely totally different model of what they’re doing anyway.
