John Mellencamp has confessed he was a nasty boyfriend to his ex Meg Ryan.
In an interview with Esquire, the 71-year-old singer mirrored on his on-off relationship with the When Harry Met Sally actress and what they really feel about one another now.
“I like Meg Ryan. I went along with her for 10 years. She does not love me a lot,” he shared. “She’s an important woman. I am only a s**tty boyfriend.”
The singer-songwriter was initially in a relationship with the Sleepless in Seattle star between 2010 and 2014. They subsequently rekindled their romance in 2017 and introduced their engagement in November 2018. Nevertheless, they known as off the engagement nearly a 12 months later in October 2018.
Within the interview, Mellencamp recalled how neither he nor Ryan, 61, knew “methods to do something” for themselves after they first began relationship.
