Earlier this week, folks in Brooklyn might have observed that the favored Brooklyn Public Library’s Central department had a distinct look to its exterior than traditional. That’s as a result of Jay-Z lyrics now grace its facade.
Video reveals a team of workers outdoors of the library setting up the library’s newly designed face. The outside — which resembles phrases from a newspaper article — depicts lyrics from Jay-Z’s intensive catalog, together with “Hovi Child,” “Candy,” “Encore,” “Justify My Thug,” “Smile” and extra. Brooklyn Public Library’s web site additionally notes that the Central department “can be closed on Thursday, July 13, in preparation for a particular occasion.”

Final June, the BPL held a celebration titled Night time within the Library: The Philosophy of Hip-Hop, which featured Jay’s mom, Dr. Gloria Carter, as a visitor speaker. “He was a really particular little one.
