Travis Scott, The Weeknd and Unhealthy Bunny have cracked open the Utopia briefcase only a tad Friday (July 21) to launch their new single, “KPOP.”
“KPOP” comes only a week earlier than Scott’s Utopia livestream occasion on the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on July 28 to launch his first studio album in 5 years. The Houston rapper launched his final album, Astroworld, on Aug. 3, 2018, which topped each the Billboard 200 and High R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and contained the Billboard Scorching 100 No. 1 single “SICKO MODE” with Drake.
After a number of reviews claimed that his live performance had been canceled, Stay Nation refuted them in a press release to Billboard: “There have been no adjustments to Travis Scott’s present in Egypt; any reviews on the contrary are false. We will’t wait to have a good time Utopia with you in Egypt!”
“KPOP” marks the sixth time Scott and The Weeknd (actual title Abel Tesfaye) have collaborated, following “Pray 4 Love” from Scott’s 2015 album Rodeo, “Fantastic” from Scott’s 2016 album Birds Within the Lure Sing McKnight, “WAKE UP” and “SKELETONS” from Astroworld, and “Energy Is Energy” alongside SZA on the For the Throne: Music Impressed by the HBO Sequence Recreation of Thrones soundtrack.
It marks the third time La Flame and Benito have linked up on a monitor, after the previous hopped on the remix of “Krippy Kush” by Farruko, Nicki Minaj, Bunny and Rvssian, and the latter assisted on the remix of “Know No Higher” by Main Lazer, Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo.
The brand new collaboration marks The Weeknd and Unhealthy Bunny’s first time on a tune collectively.
Hearken to “KPOP” beneath.
