BTS’ V Announces Debut Solo Album, ‘Layover’

BTS‘ V is the newest member of the celebrity Okay-pop group to announce a solo album. BIGHIT Music introduced on Tuesday (Aug. 8) that V’s debut solo effort, Layover, will drop on Sept. 8. The gathering will characteristic six tracks: “Wet Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Once more,” “Sluggish Dancing,” For Us” and a bonus monitor piano model of “Sluggish Dancing.”

In a launch asserting the gathering, BIGHIT urged that ARMY take heed to the album’s tracks so as, from 1-5, noting that “Sluggish Dancing” is the main focus monitor of the gathering, describing it as a “Seventies romantic soul model monitor [that] exudes a laid-back and free-spirited feeling.”

The announcement was accompanied by a 15-second visualizer by which a sequence of packages that includes the album float onto the balcony of an house constructing, ending with the album title in all-cap white letters — with the V rendered in purple — filling the display.

“Love Me Once more” is described as a “charming R&B monitor that highlights V’s low pitch voice,” whereas “For Us,” is a “pop R&B monitor that serves as an epilogue, stirring up deep feelings with V’s vocals and distinctive lyrics.” All 5 album tracks could have official movies.

V labored with NewJeans artistic director/ADOR president Hee Jin Min on the album, with BIGHIT revealing that Min oversaw all the manufacturing of the gathering, together with music, choreography, design and promotion. V’s earlier solo efforts embrace “Stigma,” “Singularity,” “Winter Bear” and “Inside Youngster”; his most up-to-date authentic solo songs are 2021’s “Christmas Tree,” which was on the soundtrack of the Netflix Okay-drama Our Beloved Summer season and final 12 months’s model of the vacation basic “It’s Starting to Look a Lot Like Christmas.”
