Lauren London took a second to honor Nipsey Hussle on what would have been his thirty eighth birthday. On Tuesday (Aug. 15), the actress shared a photograph to Instagram of the late rapper holding up prayer arms and looking out into the digital camera, with an array of gold chains draped round his neck.
“Honoring the day you blessed the Earth along with your presence. Perpetually extra,” London wrote, including “I really like you” and a blue coronary heart emoji to the top of her message.
Hussle died on March 31, 2019 after being fatally shot by Eric Holder Jr. following an altercation that occurred outdoors of the rapper’s retailer in Los Angeles. In February, Holder Jr. was sentenced to 60 years to life in jail after being convicted of murdering the rapper. Hussle is survived by his and London’s six-year-old son Kross, born in 2016.
The actress spoke about what it has been like residing with out Nipsey in a January look on Folks‘s Each Day podcast, stating that she doesn’t, “wish to give a false impression that I’m at peace and I’m strolling round on a cloud.” She continued, “I’ve to get up with the intention of this every single day as a result of there are days I don’t wish to, and I’m like indignant about it. And that’s what therapeutic is. It’s up and down, facet to facet, everywhere. You recognize what I imply? And with every new degree, there’s one thing else.”
