Anitta‘s Funk Era: A Favela Love Story tops this week’s new music ballot.
Music followers voted in a ballot revealed Friday (Aug. 18) on Billboard, selecting the carioca funk trilogy as their favourite new music launch of the previous week.
Funk Era: A Favela Love Story introduced in additional than half of the vote, coming in at 53%. It beat out new music from Hozier, Addison Rae, Quavo and extra.
On the three-track assortment, launched by Republic Data/Common Music Latin Leisure, the Brazilian celebrity goes again to her foundations with “Funk Rave,” plus two recent new songs, “Casi Casi” and “Used to Be.” It Anitta’s first mission to be launched by Republic since signing with the label in April.
Trailing behind Funk Era: A Favela Love Story on the ballot is Hozier’s Unreal Unearth and Addison Rae’s AR EP, each with 10% of the vote.
