Ok-pop boyband SEVENTEEN have taken down a teaser clip for his or her upcoming mini-album after receiving backlash from Chinese language followers.

Over the previous few days, the 13-member group have launched a collection of teaser clips that includes well-known landmarks in several cities all over the world to advertise their upcoming mini-album ‘Seventeenth Heaven’, which arrives in October.

These included photographs of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Occasions Sq. in New York, Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo and the Nice Wall of China in Beijing, with smiling chamomile flowers – additionally featured within the document’s album artwork – floating round them.

Nonetheless, the group acquired backlash from some Chinese language followers after the teaser for Beijing was uploaded, who expressed that the usage of the historic landmark within the clip was disrespectful.

In response, their company Pledis Leisure deleted the teaser that includes the Nice Wall of China, and have since issued an apology on September 24. “We acquired criticism from followers that our understanding and respect of the Nice Wall of China had been missing,” said Pledis Leisure per Soompi.

The company then shared that it had deleted the video, and apologised for making followers uncomfortable, promising to be extra cautious sooner or later. “We’ll make an effort to create content material that followers from many alternative international locations, areas, and cultures can all take pleasure in collectively,” it stated.
