Jason Blum, the producer behind The Exorcist: Believer, has revealed that he was scared “to loss of life” of Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ movie field workplace face-off.

Swift had determined to launch her ‘Eras Tour’ live performance movie in mid-October, prompting Blum to alter the discharge date of his upcoming movie, the sequel to the 1973 hit horror movie The Exorcist.

Talking to Leisure Weekly, Blum joked: “The one factor that scares me to loss of life is Taylor Swift!”

He added: “Clearly, we moved off that [date] and we bowed our head to Taylor Swift. It was too dangerous to see if ‘Exorswift’ was going to take or not. Folks will nonetheless have the Exorswift alternative, so possibly we obtained to have our cake and eat it too.”

The horror movie was set to launch on Friday, October 13. However Swift stunned everybody with the announcement of an ‘Eras Tour’ live performance film on the identical date. Blum took to X/Twitter to share a tweet that learn “#Exorswift”.

Directed by David Gordon Inexperienced, who helmed the current Halloween reboot trilogy, The Exorcist: Believer equally serves as a direct sequel to William Friedkin’s 1973 unique.

The movie is the primary entry in a deliberate trilogy, with a follow-up titled The Exorcist: Deceiver scheduled to be launched on April 18, 2025.

In 2016, The Exorcist was tailored right into a TV sequence which was designed as a continuation of the unique movie. The sequence was cancelled in 2018 after two seasons.

The Exorcist: Believer is launched in cinemas on October 13, 2023.
