Cardi B opted to not submit WAP for a Grammy Award as a result of she was “afraid” of the response if she received.

The I Like It rapper dropped the sexually provocative monitor, which options visitor vocals from Megan Thee Stallion, in August 2020.

Whereas the monitor was a success and topped music charts all over the world, throughout a latest look on The Jason Lee Present podcast, Cardi admitted that she did not really feel comfy with nominating WAP for awards.

“You understand what? That is one thing that – it is like, I must cease letting the Web management my life,” she famous. “As a result of I did not wish to submit WAP as a result of I used to be afraid that if I win or if I… You understand what’s so loopy? The Web bought me even afraid of successful. That’s insane.”

In response, Jason recalled how mad he was at his buddy for not looking for extra recognition for the success of WAP.

“I needed to leap by means of the telephone and scream at you. As a result of what I cherished about this track is that it united two superstars,” he added.

Regardless of the track not being nominated, Cardi and Megan carried out WAP on the 2021 Grammy Awards present.
