Megan Thee Stallion Confirms She Has New Music on the Way With ‘Cobra’ Announcement

Megan Thee Stallion introduced Friday (Oct. 27) that she is dropping a single titled “Cobra” subsequent Friday, Nov. 3.

Together with the date and title, the rapper shared a revealing picture of herself, her physique slick, with the phrases “Cobra – A Story by Megan Thee Stallion” in orange on the backside of the picture.

She teased “Cobra” earlier this week in a brief Instagram clip that had the digital camera zeroing in on Meg’s lips as they have been floating in a black void. “Simply as a snake sheds its pores and skin, we should shed our previous, over and over,” she mentioned over an ominous observe. Then the digital camera pulls again to disclose her face — full with vertical snake eyeballs — and the clip ended with a shot of a pair of dripping fangs. 

“Cobra” can even mark her first launch as an impartial artist — the music will arrive on her personal Sizzling Lady Productions — since she revealed in an Instagram Stay earlier this month that she wasn’t signed to a label anymore. “This a part of my album may be very a lot so funded by Megan Thee Stallion as a result of we’re attempting to get off … Y’all know what’s the tea. She lately settled a years-long authorized battle along with her former report label, 1501 Licensed Leisure. The label’s attorneys introduced final week that either side had “mutually reached a confidential settlement to resolve their authorized variations” and that Megan and 1501 will “amicably half methods.”

Since then, she launched “Bongos” with Cardi B (a follow-up collaboration to their Billboard Sizzling 100 No. 1 smash “WAP”) and “Out Alpha the Alpha” from the Dicks: The Musical soundtrack. “Bongos” debuted at No. 5 on Billboard‘s Sizzling R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and reached No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Music Gross sales.
