Morgan Wallen addressed his arrest earlier this month for reckless endangerment in Nashville after he allegedly threw a chair off of the roof of Chief’s, a six-story bar owned by fellow nation artist Eric Church.
The musician took to X (previously Twitter) on Friday evening to make his first public statement after being taken into custody on April 7.
“I didn’t really feel proper publicly checking in till I made amends with some people,” he wrote. “I’ve touched base with Nashville regulation enforcement, my household, and the great individuals at Chief’s. I’m not happy with my habits, and I settle for accountability.”
He continued, “I’ve the utmost respect for the officers working each day to maintain us all secure. Concerning my tour, there will probably be no change.”
In response to Nashville information station WSMV-TV, Wallen’s arrest affidavit famous that round 10:45 p.m. native time, witnesses watched the artist decide up a chair, throw it over the roof and snigger about it. The chair landed three ft away from two Metro Nashville Police Division officers.
