Brother Marquis, integral member of the influential, but controversial rap group 2 Stay Crew has died at age 57. Whereas no reason behind demise has been formally confirmed, TMZ reviews pure causes.

Born Mark Ross, Brother Marquis joined 2 Stay Crew in 1986—two years after the late Recent Child Ice and DJ Mr Mixx relocated from Riverside, California to Miami to hyperlink up with native promoter Luke Skyywalker. Already beginning to pioneer the Miami Bass sound with songs like “Throw the D,” Brother Marquis added his comedic wordplay to the combination and made appearances on the group’s 1986 debut album The two Stay Crew Is What We Are with the album’s intro being the primary music he recorded with the group.

Brother Marquis additionally appeared on among the group’s largest and most controversial songs like “Me So Sexy,” “Pop That P—y,” and “Banned in the united statesA.”

After the group broke up throughout the early ’90s, Brother Marquis went on to kind a gaggle with Atlanta’s DJ Toomp, releasing the album Indecent Publicity in 1993. He additionally featured on the unique model of Ice-T’s “99 Issues,” whose remake turned an enormous hit in 2004 because of Jay-Z.

Brother Marquis reunited with Mr. Mixx and Recent Child Ice through the years, releasing music and touring as the two Stay Crew. Sadly, Recent Child Ice handed away in 2017, a 12 months after leaving the group for good. Mr. Mixx and Brother Marquis launched the Christmas rap music “One Horse Sleigh” throughout the 2016 vacation season as The two Stay Crew.
