She’s so fortunate, she’s a star!
Halsey took to Instagram on Wednesday (July 17) to disclose that their new single, “Fortunate,” will formally be arriving on July 26. The singer additionally shared the quilt artwork for the album, which is a blurry, pink close-up of their face, that includes Y2K-inspired sparkles. See it right here.
The nostalgic cowl artwork is becoming, as Halsey interpolates Britney Spears’ 2000 hit, “Fortunate,” an ode to the lonelier aspect of fame. “She’s so fortunate, she’s a star/ However she cry, cry, cries in her lonely coronary heart, considering/ If there’s nothing lacking in my life/ Then why do these tears come at night time?” Halsey sings the refrain within the teaser clip, including her personal twist on the monitor.
