Moulin Rouge! has discovered a brand new Satine. On Thursday (Feb. 23), the Broadway musical introduced that “Get Out (Go away)” singer JoJo might be becoming a member of the solid beginning this spring. JoJo’s look in Moulin Rouge! will function her Broadway debut.
“I can’t consider I’m lastly capable of say this… I’m making my Broadway debut in MOULIN ROUGE!!!” JoJo excitedly shared with followers on Instagram. “After I first noticed this musical I fell immediately head over heels in love. I watched from the sting of my seat, hanging onto each phrase of each tune. This present is a full on feast for the senses and the chance to play Satine feels just like the end result of so many desires. I can’t consider I get to hitch this phenomenal solid and firm!!!! You guys blow me away!!!”
She continued, “Particular love & respect to @ashleyloren who at present SLAYS as Satine: theee most unbelievable badass singer actress artist i’m fortunate to name pal and expertise her sisterhood and generosity of spirit. * Thanks to the wonderful producers and directorial employees for believing in me such as you do. Acting on Broadway and residing in NYC?! That is all a dream come true. I do know this present means a lot to so many and I promise to place all I’ve into each single evening as Satine.”
JoJo will take the stage at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre beginning on Tuesday, April 11. The restricted engagement will final for 14 weeks, and concludes on July 16. Derek Klena will return to Moulin Rouge! as Christian. Ashley Loren, the manufacturing’s present Satine, and Aaron Tveit (Christian) will ship their last performances on April 9.
