The Weeknd enlists Ariana Grande for new remix of ‘Die For You’

The Weeknd has shared a remix of his 2016 track ‘Die For You’, that includes new vocals from longtime collaborator Ariana Grande. 

The track first appeared on the tracklist of The Weeknd’s third studio album, ‘Starboy’. The remixed model stays largely true to the unique, with the addition of backing synths on the refrain and Grande’s whistle-note harmonies. For her half, Grande alters the lyrics of her second verse for a call-and-response with The Weeknd. “I’m findin’ methods to remain focused on what I gotta do,” she sings. “However, child boy, it’s so onerous ’spherical you.”

“Wrote and recorded a verse for my pal”, Grande introduced on social media earlier this week, accompanied by a video of herself within the studio. The remix marks the newest collaboration between The Weeknd and Grande, with the previous first showing on Grande’s 2014 ‘My All the pieces’ observe ‘Love Me More durable’. Since then, the duo have collaborated on Grande’s 2020 ‘Positions’ track ‘Off The Desk’, and on a remix of The Weeknd’s ‘Save Your Tears’ in 2021.

The Weeknd shared an unreleased music video for ‘Die For You’ in 2021 to rejoice ‘Starboy’’s five-year anniversary. Extra not too long ago, he contributed to the soundtrack of James Cameron’s Avatar: The Means Of Water with the discharge of ‘Nothing Is Misplaced (You Give Me Power)’, which was produced by Swedish Home Mafia and was shortlisted for an Oscar nomination for Finest Authentic Music.

Grande, in the meantime, appeared within the 2021 movie Don’t Look Up, to which she contributed the track ‘Simply Look Up’ alongside castmate Child Cudi. The pop star is presently capturing a film adaptation of the Broadway musical Depraved, which she is going to star in as Glinda reverse Cynthia Erivo.
