5 years after the discharge of his sophomore album, East Atlanta Love Letter, 6LACK swoops again into the R&B sphere along with his new single, “Since I Have a Lover.”
Within the video by Andrew Donoho, 6LACK floats by Atlanta whereas embarking on a reflective journey about his newfound love. “Really feel like one million bucks or somethin’/ Really feel like we have to be as much as somethin’/ Not tryna press my luck or nothin’/Don’t wanna love you only for enjoyable,” he sings within the first verse.
In a press launch, 6LACK spoke on his newest music. “‘Since I Have a Lover,’ the title monitor, is the highs of getting a wholesome love, compressed into music format. It’s a word to self that I’m not who I used to be or the place I used to be and that there’s a much bigger objective beginning to reveal itself within the issues I create,” he stated. “We’re merely pushing love as a result of it’s wanted. The verses are quick and function a second of acknowledgment for the way I really feel, and the refrain is much less of a lyric and extra of a sense. It’s an exhale; it’s aid, it’s belief, it’s happiness, it’s surreal.”
