South African Rapper Costa Titch Dies After Collapsing at Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg

South African rapper Costa Titch has died after collapsing onstage at Johannesburg’s Extremely South Africa music competition on Saturday (March 11). He was 28.

The household of the rapper, whose actual identify was Constantinos Tsobanoglou, confirmed the tragic information in an announcement posted Sunday (March 12) on the artist’s Instagram account.

“Loss of life has tragically knocked at our door. Robbing us of our beloved son, brother, and grandson,” the assertion reads. “Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), whom South Africa had come to like and idolize beneath his stage identify ‘Costa Titch.’ It’s with deep ache that we discover ourselves having to acknowledge his passing presently.”

His family members continued, “As a household, we’re confronted with a tough time as we attempt to make sense of what has befallen us and ask that we be afforded the time and area to assemble ourselves. The Tsobanoglou household thanks you for the love and assist you could have given to our son, and will you proceed to uplift him even in spirit. Please hold us in your prayers and uplifted within the Lord.”

An official reason behind dying was not given at press time.

Titch, a rising star within the South African musical fashion amapiano, was signed to Akon’s Konvict Kulture label. The rapper not too long ago collaborated with Akon on the one “Large Flexa,” from Titch’s 2022 album, Mr Large Flexa.

Titch received greatest collaboration and greatest remix on the 2020 South African Hip Hop Awards for his music “Nkalakatha,” that includes Riky Rick and Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. In early February, AKA was shot and killed outdoors of a restaurant in South Africa.
