Robert Smith pushes Ticketmaster to give money back for “unduly high” prices for The Cure’s US tour

The Treatment‘s Robert Smith has revealed that after chatting with Ticketmaster relating to the “unduly excessive” costs for the band’s upcoming US tour, the ticketing system will likely be issuing small refunds to verified ticket consumers.

Smith introduced the information on Thursday evening (March 16) by Twitter following the launch of The Treatment’s US tour tickets. “After additional dialog, Ticketmaster have agreed with us that most of the charges being charged are unduly excessive, and as a gesture of goodwill have provided a $10 per ticket refund to all verified fan accounts for Lowest Ticket Value (‘LTP’) transactions,” the frontman wrote.

Smith concluded by saying that he’ll quickly let followers know what exhibits have tickets left for buy.

That is the newest growth in The Treatment’s ongoing saga with Ticketmaster, by which the band mentioned they might be capable of present followers with reasonably priced tickets that weren’t “immediately and horribly distorted by resale”.
