Paramore eyes some outsized outerwear within the first teaser for A24‘s forthcoming album paying tribute to the Speaking Heads‘ basic efficiency movie Cease Making Sense.
A24 and Paramore took to social media Wednesday to share a video saying the album, set to characteristic 16 artists every masking a unique observe from the 1984 film. The video features a snippet of Paramore’s model of “Burning Down the Home,” which is teased as the primary observe for the challenge that has but to announce a launch date.
Within the video, Paramore singer Hayley Williams receives a field at her doorstep and pulls out a grey swimsuit jacket paying homage to one which Speaking Heads singer David Byrne famously dons in Jonathan Demme’s authentic film. Filmed over 4 nights on the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles the 12 months prior, Cease Making Sense options hits together with “As soon as in a Lifetime” and “Psycho Killer” and is among the many most revered live performance movies ever made.

A24 picked up distribution rights to Cease Making Sense final 12 months and launched a restored model of the movie theatrically in September after its debut on the Toronto Movie Competition.
Paramore was the topic of headlines final week after the group deleted all posts from its Instagram account following the expiration of its 20-year contract with Atlantic, in accordance with media experiences. The band launched its sixth studio album, This Is Why, in February.
