Doja Cat had some enjoyable throughout her set on the Parklife Pageant in Manchester, England on Sunday (June 9), sprinkling in a little bit of early aughts pop magic into her headlining set on the Valley stage. Throughout a second day of performances through which the grounds turned to a muddy soup because of thunderstorms, Doja carried out from underneath an enormous clear rain poncho, which coated up a stage outfit that consisted of a white thong, matching white high and furry boots.
In a seeming nod to the inclement climate, Doja dipped into an a cappella little bit of Hilary Duff’s 2004 anthem “Come Clear,” singing, “Let it wash away/ My sanity/ ‘Trigger I wish to really feel the thunder/ I wanna scream/ Let the rain…” earlier than stopping and berating the silent viewers in mock annoyance. “B–ch you don’t know that s–t?! What the f–okay! Wow. Wow.” she yelled, apparently bummed that the soggy attendees weren’t acquainted with the digital pop anthem from the singer/actress’ second album, 2003’s Metamorphosis.
Doja appeared to shake it off fairly shortly, although, as her band fired up the singer’s hit “Say So” and he or she later posted a candy word to attendees on X, writing, “Thanks Manchester! Thanks Parklife!” Doja’s UK summer time tour continues on Tuesday (June 11) with a present on the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, adopted by a gig on Wednesday (June 12) on the Resorts World Enviornment in Birmingham and gigs in Newcastle Upon Tyne and London earlier than she hops over to Amsterdam and Paris and touches down for the Rock in Rio Lisboa in Lisbon on June 23.
