When Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson and Anika Noni Rose sang, “Dreamgirls won’t ever go away you,” they meant it! On the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards (April 1), two of the Dreamgirls co-stars reunited for a gorgeous image backstage.

“I’m so glad I bought to be there to cheer on my Dreamgirls sister as she obtained the @iheartradio Innovator Award!!!” Hudson wrote in a heartfelt Instagram caption. “Congratulations on such a nicely deserved recognition! Love u @beyonce !!!”

Within the image — which served as the duvet to a photograph carousel commemorating Beyoncé’s look on the ceremony — the 2 Grammy winners are all smiles in complementary black outfits. Hudson, who carried out a rousing tribute to Icon Award honoree Cher, sported a shiny semi-sheer bustier paired with a black fringe leather-based jacket. Queen Bey, then again, stayed true to her present Cowboy Carter country-inspired aesthetic with a black cowboy hat, a black leather-based archival look from Versace’s fall 1992 assortment and her trademark blonde tresses.

On the 2024 iHeartMusic Awards, Beyoncé obtained the Innovator Award in honor of her standing as a “world cultural icon” who has taken “inventive dangers, efficiently remodeled their music and influenced popular culture,” most just lately along with her much-buzzed-about Cowboy Carter LP.
