Chalamet not too long ago opened as much as Zane Lowe about feeling related to Dylan’s story. “I’ve had a life expertise, I gained’t say it’s bizarre, however I can relate to a few of these issues [Bob Dylan] went by,” Chalamet stated. “Bob wished to be a rock ‘n’ roll star — Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Elvis Presley — that was the type of, relying in your perspective, the type of rice crispy pop, rock ‘n’ roll music that was saturated, you already know, marketed to youngsters within the late ’50s. Equally, I wished to be a giant film actor.”
He continued, “I discovered my manner into these very customized films. For [Dylan], it was folks music. He couldn’t preserve a rock ‘n’ roll band as a result of they’d all get employed by different youngsters that had extra money, actually, in Minnesota. So for me, it was discovering a really private fashion film — Call Me By Your Identify or Lovely Boy or Girl Fowl or Little Ladies, Miss Stevens, Scorching Summer season Nights. These had been smaller funds however very… I don’t understand how else to place it… personable films that began on this theater house. That is the place I discovered my rhythm, my confidence, my movement, no matter you wish to name it.”
