Cardi B has opened up about what she says was a daunting interplay with the Los Angeles Police Division she had over the weekend.
The Bronx native recounted particulars in regards to the LAPD incident throughout an Instagram Reside session early Monday (March 25), throughout which she alleged that officers accused her of trafficking fentanyl and having a weapon in her automobile.
“You don’t even know what occurred to me yesterday, like, y’all don’t even know,” Cardi stated. “I obtained stopped by the cops and the whole lot. I obtained stopped by the cops yesterday. You gon’ see, it’s gonna hit TMZ actual quickly. They thought I used to be trafficking. Yeah, they thought I used to be trafficking fentanyl. And so they thought I had a gun in my automobile.”
The Grammy-winning rapper went on to allege that they’d her exterior for “three hours,” and stated she’s planning to sue the LAPD.
“They’d me getting butt bare exterior,” she continued. “S–t was loopy. It was deada– a film and no matter. However you already know I’m ’bout to sue the LAPD. They obtained me f–ked up for doing it.”
Cardi believes one among her “opps” put the police as much as this, as she claimed the officers admitted they acquired a tip about her.
“It was, like, some white cops or one thing. They didn’t know who I used to be in order that they was actually powerful on me and the whole lot. They stated that anyone gave them a clue,” the 31-year-old alleged. “I already really feel prefer it was one among my opps and s–t. They actually attempting to smash my life.”
When reached for remark, the LAPD denied Cardi B’s allegations and advised Billboard, “We don’t have any file of any visitors cease.”
