After practically two years of dropping a string of singles, together with “Have Mercy” and “Deal with Me,” Chloe Bailey is unveiling her extremely anticipated solo debut album.
The 24-year-old singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 24) to disclose that her upcoming album, titled In Items, might be arriving in March 2023, although the precise launch date has but to be shared.
Together with the announcement, Bailey shared a video through which she’s seen in a glossy purple leather-based robe, appearing as a scale as she holds a human coronary heart on one arm and a sphere on the opposite. “Put on my coronary heart on my sleeve / All of them say I’m naive / Nevertheless it’s higher than nothing,” she’s heard singing within the background over an ethereal melody.
Chloe’s sister, Halle Bailey, shared a candy remark in help. “wooooo!!!!!!” she wrote beneath the put up. As a part of Chloe x Halle, the sister duo launched two albums — 2018’s The Children Are Alright and 2020’s Ungodly Hour.
“It’s every thing that I’ve been going by means of, all of the tearing down, folks underestimating, telling me I can’t do it — all of these issues have gone into the music,” Chloe beforehand defined of her upcoming solo LP. “The album is me choosing myself up and speaking myself out of any little place or area that the world has tried to place me in, that folks and private relationships have tried to place me in, and even [doing that to] myself. It’s me breaking free.”
