Chlöe Bailey is giving followers the primary style of her upcoming debut solo album with a model new single, “Pray It Away,” which arrived on Friday (Jan. 27).
The track, which particulars the sentiments of a wasted relationship, comes only a day after the 24-year-old singer-songwriter teased the discharge with a gorgeous picture of herself draped in white and sheer material, holding her palms up in prayer.
In the meantime, Chlöe’s debut album, In Items, is about to reach in March, although a precise date has but to be shared. Whereas that is the star’s first full solo undertaking, as a part of Chloe x Halle, the sister duo launched two albums — 2018’s The Youngsters Are Alright and 2020’s Ungodly Hour.
“It’s the whole lot that I’ve been going by way of, all of the tearing down, individuals underestimating, telling me I can’t do it — all of these issues have gone into the music,” Chlöe beforehand defined of her upcoming solo LP. “The album is me selecting myself up and speaking myself out of any little place or house that the world has tried to place me in, that folks and private relationships have tried to place me in, and even [doing that to] myself. It’s me breaking free.”
