Dolly Parton, Cyndi Lauper, and others have teamed up on Diane Warren’s Gonna Be You.
In response to an announcement obtained by Billboard, a Diane Warren-written track titled Gonna Be You has been set for launch on 20 January, that includes Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan, and Debbie Harry.
Diane initially wrote the track for the Paramount Photos street journey comedy 80 For Brady.
“Once I wrote Gonna Be You for 80 FOR BRADY, I wished to put in writing a track that celebrated these girls’s deep friendship,” the singer wrote in a press release. “Since 80 was within the title I obtained a loopy thought, why not get a number of the most iconic singers from the 80s, who’re nonetheless superb and at all times can be, to all sing it?!!!! Everybody I approached mentioned sure and was simply as excited as me!”
She continued, “I’m honoured to have Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan and Debbie Harry on this track!! Gonna Be You is that track you need to sing alongside to with all of your good mates!”
Gonna Be You’ll launch forward of the movie dropping in theatres on 3 February. Led by Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Subject, 80 For Brady is predicated on the true story of a bunch of 4 mates who took a visit to the 2017 Tremendous Bowl to see Tom Brady play.
After experiences arose of the upcoming track, Belinda Carlisle took to Instagram to thank her collaborators. She known as singing with Dolly and Cyndi an “honour”, admitting, “This secret has been laborious to maintain.”
