Former Tremendous Furry Animals members’ new outfit, Das Koolies, have launched their debut EP ‘The Condemned’.
The Welsh group – comprising Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Dafydd Ieuan and Guto Pryce – have kicked off a brand new period with their new model of electronica.
The gathering contains the standout single ‘You Killed My Robotic’, which tells “tales of know-how misplaced to human folly. Lamenting and paying tribute to the easily-sacrificed drones that went deep into the destroyed reactors of the doomed Fukushima nuclear plant.”
The four-piece mentioned: “From the bridge we are able to see our course corrected and deep seas of sound lie earlier than us. Liberated, outfitted, ready and full sail.”
Das Koolies first emerged with the only ‘It is All About The Dolphins’ in 2020.
A press launch notes that the group’s “genesis lies within the nineties, half-a-decade between chapters and topic of hearsay ever since.”
Tremendous Furry Animals are the band that gave the world audio of Sir Paul McCartney chomping on celery and carrot.
The rock band teamed up with the Beatles legend on their 2001 monitor ‘Receptacle For The Respectable’, which was featured on the Twentieth-anniversary re-issue of their album ‘Rings Round The World’ in 2021.
Gruff and co ran into the 80-year-old music icon on the NME Awards in 2000, the place he accepted the weird request to play “carrot and celery” percussion on the music.
And followers can get their ears across the full 60-second crunching cameo by Macca, which is right for ASMR lovers, on YouTube.
Keyboard participant Cian commented: “He was going to return to the studio after which determined to not for some purpose. So, we despatched him stereo backing tracks so he might maintain time, then he despatched the tape again with a message that began with a extremely dodgy Welsh accent. Then he goes ‘I hope you prefer it’ – the following factor you recognize you simply hear this chewing sound!”
