H.E.R. says it is “so inspiring” to see extra ladies enjoying the guitar.
The ‘I Cannot Breathe’ hitmaker has simply launched her personal Fender Blue Marlin Stratocaster – which is known as after one among her favorite fish – and he or she admitted she “barely thought it was doable” to play the instrument herself as a Black lady.
H.E.R. – whose actual title is Gabriella Wilson – mentioned: “I believe loads of ladies, particularly younger Black ladies, younger Filipino ladies, do not actually suppose that these sorts of issues are doable and I barely thought it was doable. She is the primary Black feminine artist in Fender’s 77-year historical past to launch a signature guitar.
