Jack Antonoff Named ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year at 2025 Pop Awards

Jack Antonoff was honored as ASCAP‘s pop songwriter of the 12 months on the performing rights group’s 2025 Pop Awards held on the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Antonoff was acknowledged for his co-writes on songs like Sabrina Carpenter’s smash hit “Please Please Please,” in addition to for his work on Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” “Fortnight,” “I Can Do It With a Damaged Coronary heart,” “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Model) (From the Vault)” and “Karma.” Probably the most prolific songwriter-producers within the business, final 12 months he produced Swift’s The Tortured Poets Division, in addition to a number of tracks on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX and Carpenter’s Brief n’ Candy.

In the meantime Teddy Swims’ “Lose Management,” which was co-written by ASCAP songwriter Joshua “Ammo” Coleman and has spent a large 88 weeks on Billboard’s Scorching 100 chart, gained pop tune of the 12 months. Sony Music Publishing, whose greatest tracks final 12 months included Shaboozey’s “A Bar Track (Tipsy),” Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and Chappell Roan’s “Scorching to Go” gained music writer of the 12 months.

ASCAP held the Pop Awards a day after internet hosting the group’s Music Display Awards on Wednesday. On the Display Awards, Trent Reznor, Jeff Toyne, David Fleming and Nainita Desai have been honored because the composer’s selection award recipients.

Different writers who took dwelling awards Thursday included Amy Allen — who co-wrote a number of Carpenter songs together with “Espresso” and who gained the Grammy for songwriter of the 12 months again in February — in addition to Beyoncé, Dan Nigro, Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Justin Tranter, Justin Timberlake, Noah Kahan, Dua Lipa, Shaboozey and Victoria Monet.
