Jenny Lewis has introduced particulars of her fifth studio album, ‘Pleasure’All’, and shared its newest single ‘Psychos’.
Produced by Dave Cobb, the brand new album is due out on June 9 through Blue Notice/EMI and follows 2019’s ‘On The Line’. It was first previewed final 12 months with the only ‘Pet And A Truck’.
Explaining how the album got here collectively, Lewis mentioned: “I began writing a few of these songs on the street, pre-pandemic… after which put them apart because the world shut down. […] Then from my house in Nashville in early 2021, I joined a week-long digital songwriting workshop with a handful of wonderful artists, hosted by Beck.
“The problem was to jot down one track daily for seven days, with pointers from Beck. The rules could be prompts like ‘write a track with 1-4-5 chord development,’ ‘write a track with solely cliches,’ or ‘write in free type type.’ The primary track I submitted to the group was ‘Pet and a Truck.’”
Of working with Cobb, she added: “Dave works quick and we reduce the majority of the report together with his unimaginable home band – Nate Smith, Brian Allen and Cobb on guitar, and myself on acoustic guitar & vocals – dwell on the ground in a few weeks.
“Jess Wolfe got here again to the studio to offer background vocals on the report after which Greg Leisz and Jon Brion added pedal metal, B-Bender guitar and Chamberlin, respectively, again in L.A..”

Forward of the brand new album’s announcement, Lewis shared an official video for ‘Pet And A Truck’ that includes a cameo from Harry Kinds.
