After previewing the trippy new observe “Eat the Acid” earlier this month, Kesha posted a snippet of one other new track on her Instagram Story on Thursday (March 30). And consistent with the singer’s cards-on-the-table radical honesty songwriting vibe, it mentioned the loud half out loud.

The refrain performs off a well-recognized trope, with a Kesha, twist, after all. “There’s a high-quality line between genius and loopy/ There’s a high-quality line between damaged and breaking/ Entire life attempting to alter what they’re saying about me/ Sick of strolling that high-quality line.”

The singer additionally re-previewed a track she dropped a snippet of earlier this month, the appropriately spacey, trippy “Eat the Acid.” Over quick-picked acoustic guitars, she sings, “I looked for solutions all my life/ Lifeless at nighttime, I noticed the sunshine/ I’m the one which I’ve been combating the entire time/ Hate has no place within the divine.”

The observe then ramps up with a choir of angelic voices and a thrumming beat because the refrain kicks in: “You mentioned don’t ever eat the acid/ In the event you don’t wish to be modified such as you modified me/ You mentioned all the sides obtained so jagged/ Now the whole lot you noticed then can’t be unseen.”

The singer — whose official web site options the bold-letter tease “Kesha is coming” — additionally posted a cryptic video on Instagram on Thursday wherein she stands within the desert together with her arms outstretched as a haunting instrumental performs behind her with the message, “You by no means know that you just want one thing to consider in when you already know all of it.”

A spokesperson for Kesha couldn’t be reached for remark at press time in response to Billboard‘s query about whether or not the songs are slated for the follow-up to her fourth studio album, 2020’s Excessive Street.
