The 2023 Roots Picnic is returning to Philadelphia’s Mann Heart on June 3-4 with headlining units by Diddy with The Roots, Lauryn Hill celebrating the twenty fifth anniversary of her Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album, and Lil Uzi Vert.

The three-day occasion, introduced by The Roots and Dwell Nation City, will launch on June 2 with a stand-up comedy present and live performance Dave Chappelle and The Roots at Philly’s Wells Fargo Heart.

“Roots Picnic Weekend returns to Philadelphia June 2-4, 2023! We’re partnering with @livenationurban to convey you three days of black tradition, music, comedy, and podcasts in one of the crucial stunning cities on the planet!!!!” organizers introduced Monday (Feb. 20) on Instagram.

Different artists making an look all through the annual hip-hop and R&B competition embody Ari Lennox, Metropolis Women, Maverick Metropolis, DJ Drama, Fortunate Daye, Syd, GloRilla, Kindred the Household Soul, a State Property reunion, and a “stay mixtape” from Black Thought that includes Busta Rhymes and Eve.

This 12 months’s occasion may also embody a podcast stage that includes Charlamagne Tha God, Off the Document with DJ Akademiks, Don’t Name Me White Lady, Lip Service with Angela Yee, Folks’s Get together with Talib Kweli, and Questlove Supreme.

A fan membership presale begins on Tuesday (Feb. 21) at 12 p.m. ET, with a common on-sale to comply with on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET via therootspicnic.com.
