Mercury Prize 2023: Here are the bookies’ odds for favourites to win

The most recent bookies’ odds for the winner of the 2023 Mercury Prize forward of this week’s ceremony have been launched, with Loyle Carner, Younger Fathers and Jockstrap among the many favourites.

The 12 albums which were shortlisted for the Album Of The Yr award have been introduced earlier this summer season.

Jockstrap’s debut LP ‘I Love You Jennifer B’ is at the moment favorite to clinch the prize in line with Bet365, with odds of 6-4. That is adopted by Loyle Carner, whose album ‘Hugo’ has been given 7-2 odds.

He’s adopted by Younger Fathers’ ‘Heavy Heavy’ on 5-1, Irish people band Lankum on 6-1 with their fourth LP ‘False Lankum’, whereas Fred Once more.. for ‘Precise Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022)’, has odds of 9-1.

RAYE‘s ‘My twenty first Century Blues’ is available in at 14-1, adopted by each Jessie Ware‘s ‘That! Feels Good!’ and J Hus‘ ‘Lovely And Brutal Yard’ which every have have odds of 22-1.

Arctic Monkeys in the meantime have odds of 25-1 for ‘The Automotive’, as does Ezra Collective‘s ‘The place I’m Meant To Be’. Lastly, each whereas Shygirl‘s ‘Nymph’ and Olivia Dean‘s debut album ‘Messy’ are available at 33-1.

The winner of the prize shall be introduced at a dwell ceremony at London’s Eventim Apollo this Thursday (September 7), and shall be judged by a panel together with Anna Calvi, Jamie Cullum, Mistajam and extra.
