Nelly Furtado is again and higher than ever, and in celebration of her reunion with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on “Preserve Going Up,” she sat down with Billboard‘s Jason Lipshutz to debate the place she’s at in her profession in the meanwhile.
“[Timbaland and Timberlake] had thought it out quite a bit,” she mentioned of the brand new collaboration, which arrives greater than a decade after the trio’s Billboard Scorching 100 chart topper “Give It to Me” was launched in 2007. “What’s nice about them is that they’re like, ‘We wish you to do your factor.’ If the three of us are on a music, then we’re all equals, and that’s a extremely good feeling.”

I’m in it for the best causes and it’s so pure for me proper now. It’s simply pure inspiration all day.”
She continued, “I’m simply happier than ever making music. I really like my job greater than I’ve ever beloved it. I acknowledge that being onstage is like my residence.”
Shifting ahead, Furtado is gearing as much as launch new music. “I’ve so many songs within the pipeline. I’ve so many new songs,” she assured.
