Nicolas Cage broke his silence Friday (Jan. 13) concerning the sudden loss of life of his ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley following a coronary heart assault.
“Lisa had the best chuckle of anybody I ever met,” the Insufferable Weight of Large Expertise actor mentioned in a press release to E! Information. “She lit up each room, and I’m heartbroken.”
Happening to name the information of Presley’s loss of life “devastating,” he added, “I discover some solace believing she is reunited along with her son Benjamin.” In July 2020, Lisa Marie’s 27-year-old son Benjamin Keough died by suicide in Calabasas, Calif.
Cage and Presley have been married for 3 and a half months from August to November 2002, although their divorce wasn’t technically finalized till two years later. The actor was Presley’s third husband after musician Danny Keough, to whom she was wed from 1988 to 1994, and Michael Jackson, whom she married simply 20 days after her divorce from Keough. She would later go on to marry yet another time — to guitarist Michael Lockwood from 2006 to 2021, although they legally break up in 2016.
