Spotify is launching a brand new video interview sequence that dives into new albums earlier than they’re launched.
Countdown To will function artists conversing with fellow performers, collaborators, members of the family or buddies to debate the inspiration behind their new initiatives. The sequence will debut on Friday at midnight ET/9 p.m. PT Thursday, and the primary episode will function Jelly Roll in dialog with MGK forward of the discharge of Superbly Damaged, the Grammy-nominated country-rap act’s new album out on Oct. 11. The genre-mixing artists beforehand collaborated on the track “Lonely Street.”

Clips from every Countdown To episode shall be out there on every featured artist’s Countdown Web page, and the total interview shall be out there as a vodcast episode on Spotify and YouTube.
Superbly Damaged, which touches on themes like habit, restoration and self-growth, is the follow-up to Jelly Roll’s 2023 album Whitsitt Chapel, which featured the hits “Want a Favor” and “Save Me,” which earned a Grammy nomination earlier this 12 months.
