Stormzy handpicks support acts as he curates London festival

Stormzy has handpicked the assist acts for his solely UK competition date of the 12 months.

The grime star is headlining All Factors East in London’s Victoria Park on August 18 and he has been given the prospect to curate the line-up for the hometown present – turning it into his personal ‘This Is What We Imply Day’ by bringing onboard artists together with Kehlani, Sampha, Knucks and Fortunate Daye in addition to WSTRN and Ms Banks.

Stormzy introduced his plan to curate his personal day in a video posted on Instagram, explaining: “I used to be considering what’s subsequent, cos we’ve performed 3 O2s [London’s O2 Arena], shut that down.

“I stated to the workforce, we gotta do one thing larger, one thing higher, one thing totally different. We have been having again to again conferences, bouncing concepts. Then it hit me, I began jotting down concepts considering – dwell band, want a dwell band. August 2023, a summer season factor, exterior, for the folks, all the time for my folks. So August 2023, Victoria Park, extra data coming quickly …. ‘This Is What We Imply Day’. Exhausting.”

Extra acts are but to be introduced for Stormzy’s particular competition day and tickets are already on normal sale.

All Factors East may also function a headline efficiency from The Strokes on August 25 whereas rock trio HAIM will play the competition on Financial institution Vacation Monday August 28. Digital act Jungle will headline on Saturday August 26 and they are going to be joined by singer Erykah Badu and plenty of extra acts.

The 2022 occasion featured units from artists together with Gorillaz, The Chemical Brothers, Tame Impala, Nick Cave and The Dangerous Seeds and Idles.
