SZA is “scared” of being well-known.
Throughout an interview with Elle, the Kill Invoice singer admitted she needed to take day trip to “mentally put together” for the chat due to her struggles with nervousness.
“Some folks suppose that, like, me having nervousness or me being shy or scuffling with vanity is an act,” the 33-year-old shared. “I am simply, dead-a*s, an individual. All people else has emotions and fears. Why would not I be scared to be well-known? Would you be scared to be well-known? As a result of I am well-known, I am not allowed to be scared? I wasn’t born well-known. I had common quiet-a*s mother and father from a small city like all people else. And I suppose sooner or later I am purported to acclimate to all of this?”
SZA, actual identify Solána Imani Rowe, has typically spoken about her nervousness previously. After the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, the singer shared a number of photographs of the occasion and opened up about struggling to be out in public.
“I hate being exterior greater than I can clarify. I’ve actually debilitating nervousness and I am solely posting these trigger Y’all woulda discovered em anyway. Thanks to my crew n my mama. Least I am alive (sic),” she wrote.
SZA is at the moment in the course of the European leg of her SOS tour. The trek, which started in February, will wrap up in Phoenix, Arizona on 29 October.
