T-Pain Announces Covers Album Featuring Sam Smith, Chris Stapleton and Black Sabbath Songs

After a number of requests to provide extra cowl tracks a spin, T-Ache is listening to his followers. On Wednesday (Feb. 15), the “Purchase U a Drank” rapper introduced that he’s gearing as much as launch a non-Auto-Tuned album that can function a collection of canopy songs supposed to provide his vocals an actual likelihood to shine.

The album, titled On Prime of the Covers, will see The Masked Singer season one winner giving the world his personal renditions of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” Journey’s “Don’t Cease Believin’,” Dr. Hook & the Drugs Present’s “Sharing The Night time Collectively,” Sam Smith’s “Keep With Me,” Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey,” Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” (with a function from NandoSTL) and Black Sabbath’s “Battle Pigs.”

T-Ache first teased the discharge of the mission on Tuesday (Feb. 14) through Twitter. A fan of the rapper tweeted, “Something that T-Ache covers or remixes is all the time so onerous.” The Billboard Scorching 100 hitmaker replied, “Buckle up as a result of I obtained an announcement coming tomorrow.” He reposted the tweet alternate to his Instagram, including a message to his followers to “Keep tuned.” A fan within the feedback hilariously guessed, “T-Sinatra or Frank Ache,” which ended up being correct.

On Prime of the Covers can be launched on March 17. To help the album launch, the rapper additionally shared that he can be performing two back-to-back live shows in Los Angeles on the Solar Rose at Pendry West Hollywood on March 17-18. On Prime of the Covers marks the rapper’s first album launch since 2019’s 1UP.
