Travis Scott’s Concert at the Pyramids of Giza Officially Canceled Due to ‘Production Issues’

After Stay Nation debunked reviews on July 18 of Travis Scott’s Utopia live performance being canceled by the Egyptian authorities, it issued a statement on Wednesday (July 26) formally saying the present’s cancellation as a result of “advanced manufacturing points.”

“We remorse to tell you that the Utopia present, initially scheduled for July twenty eighth on the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled,” Stay Nation Center East’s assertion mentioned on Twitter. “Sadly, regardless of highest efforts, advanced manufacturing points meant that the present couldn’t be constructed within the desert.”

The assertion continued, “We perceive that this information is disappointing and never the end result any of us desired. Refunds will likely be issued to all ticket holders at their level of buy. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation could have precipitated and respect your understanding. We stay dedicated to bringing distinctive dwell performances to followers and hope to have the chance to take action sooner or later.”

Experiences had surfaced the earlier week that Egypt’s Musicians’ Syndicate — who grants live performance permits — canceled Travis’ present since they’d issues about guaranteeing “the protection and safety of the viewers.” 

Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, in an announcement on behalf of the Musicians Syndicate obtained by Egypt In the present day mentioned: “Concerning the live performance scheduled to be held on twenty eighth July on the Pyramids space in Giza by American rapper Travis Scott, the Musicians Syndicate, because the entity accountable for issuing licenses for music and singing live shows in Egypt, in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Tradition represented by the Censorship Authority for Creative Works and the Ministry of Labor, emphasizes the need of contemplating safety points and acquiring approvals from the related authorities as a high precedence when organizing live shows. That is to make sure the protection and safety of the viewers.”

Stay Nation swiftly responded to these reviews and denied that Scott’s present had been canceled. “There have been no modifications to Travis Scott’s present in Egypt; any reviews on the contrary are false. We will’t wait to have a good time Utopia with you in Egypt,” they wrote in an announcement to Billboard. 

Scott’s fourth studio album, Utopia, drops on Friday (July 28) and is headlined by his new single “Ok-POP” that includes The Weeknd and Dangerous Bunny.
