Usher had Saturday night time’s Dreamville Pageant crowd satisfied Beyoncé was a shock visitor — till he reminded followers what day it was.
The singer was headlining the Raleigh, North Carolina, fest on the metropolis’s Dorothea Dix Park on April 1.
“I stated I might have a particular shock for you tonight, women and gents. You guys wanna know what that shock is?” Usher teased the viewers throughout his set.
“Girls and gents,” he continued, “with out additional ado, put your fingers collectively for the one, the one, Beyoncé!”
As the group went wild, Usher pretended that he was patiently watching and ready for Bey to take the stage, even signaling to followers to attend a second whereas he checked in on her.
When Usher returned to the mic, he delivered the dreaded punchline: “April Fools.”
