Questlove has claimed Will Smith needed to drop out of a shock look on the Grammy Awards on Sunday as a result of he was taking pictures Unhealthy Boys 4.
Throughout the present, Questlove and his band The Roots took half in a collaborative efficiency celebrating 50 years of hip-hop alongside Nelly, Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Run-DMC, and Will’s former performing companion DJ Jazzy Jeff, amongst others.
The musician revealed to Selection on the pink carpet that Will was initially imagined to be concerned within the tribute.
“I will give the spoiler alert away. Will Smith was a part of the festivities tonight, however they began taking pictures Unhealthy Boys 4 this week,” he defined. “There have been a whole lot of preliminary photographs that he needed to do, so we needed to lose Will.”
He added that getting Will concerned was “a shot at nighttime” as a result of he’s “at all times taking pictures motion pictures”.
The efficiency would have marked the actor’s first awards present look since he infamously slapped Chris Rock on the 2022 Oscars after the presenter made a joke about his spouse Jada Pinkett Smith. Chris was presenting the award for Greatest Documentary, which was awarded to Questlove simply after the stunning second.
Will and his Unhealthy Boys co-star Martin Lawrence introduced that they had been reuniting for a fourth instalment final week. The mission is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who helmed 2020’s Unhealthy Boys for Life.
