Zara Larsson is recent off the discharge of her empowering new single “Can’t Tame Her,” launched on Thursday (Jan. 26), and the 24-year-old pop star sat down with Billboard‘s Rania Aniftos to debate the observe.
“If you’re within the public eye of any kind, I feel lots of people have a notion of who you might be and who try to be,” the singer says of her new tune. “Folks need to put women in a field of what you need to do or not. Within the public eye, you will have lots of people telling you what’s mistaken or how you need to do one thing in another way. I’m on the market, I’m very loud and I attempt to keep true to myself and encompass myself with individuals who care about me, so we will all assist one another and shield one another. Actually good associates.”
Whereas Larsson says that “Can’t Tame Her” is a pop tune that “suits properly in my catalog,” there’s something “a bit completely different” in regards to the sound. “It’s a banger and hits you proper within the face. After I performed it to folks, it will get folks excited. I would like each album to be a greater model of what I’ve achieved beforehand.”
Whereas the star is just 24 years outdated, she’s been within the music business for years. She appeared on Sweden’s Obtained Expertise when she was simply 10 years outdated and launched her first single when she was 15. “I really feel like i’m simply beginning out,” she explains of her decade-long profession. “I’m so removed from the place I need to go and what I need to do. I feel it’s a blessing and a curse, the place I’ll by no means actually be happy.”
